It's easy to imagine a world like this these days. Well plotted, plenty of tension and action, interesting cast of characters. For anyone into apocalyptic fiction, this is a treat. ( )

i got this book for free in exchange of an honest review from netgallery.
First thoughts about this books, its kind a mix of the white plague with the book of the unnamed midwife, but Arabela our main character, more know as Ara, she alreaday has the ideia that she is the last female, and she must keep herself away from men to be safe, because like her father said before disapearing, there arent good men anymore, she can't trust them... well hunger made her follow a group of men to try and steal some food and at least a weapon, but fate made her to be capturated by them instead. I dont know what i was hoping but after 3 years i though this could be more chalenging than how it was in this book, but without spoilers, it seems that this sickness can infect animals and men as well but its fatal, many characters had to kill loved ones when they showed syptoms... uhmm i did like this book, and i did like the other main character as well kaden, uhmm i was also hoping for some romance hahah i am an hopeless romantic. anyway its a good book to pass some time.

ahh but people that hate cliffangers may want to wait to read until the next one comes out, ^__~ ( )
