I'm never not going to love Hades being a total simp in H P retellings! This started with a BANG (semi-literally). I loved Persephone's magic - one of the higher points of the book was learning about Persephone's abilities. ( )

More modern day meets hot & spicy Greek myths. Fav quotes to convince you to read Hades:

"Sometimes, he really hated pretending he needed them to protect him. It made the humans comfortable to think that the God of Death was vulnerable, so he let them believe the lie."

"You know what? You look like the kind of guy I could make some really bad decisions with."

"Then she kissed him. Hades stilled in surprise under the force of it. It was like wild summer storms and just as terrifying."

"Oh, darling. I'm going to fuck you so hard you're going to forget your own name."

"You know what we are. A family that each other has chosen, so it's worth more than blood."

"He wanted to know why, for the first time in his existence, he had met someone who simultaneously made him furiously angry and impossibly turned on at the same time. What is it about her?"

"Because you're dark and beautiful and all the cursed things belong to you. And I'm so very, very cursed."

"Erebus was as gossipy as an old auntie"

"I'm not interested in teaching you to contain your power, Persephone. I'm going to fucking unleash you so you can be who you were mean to be."

"Kill things for me, Persephone. It feels so fucking good."

"Now grow a pair of ovaries and go after her"

"Oh honey, if I ever make you orgasm hard enough to blow up my villa, then I'd count it as a win and simply build another one."

"No matter what happens between us, don't let her keep you caged. You are too special to be kept locked up like some fucking trinket."

"You are my equal Persephone. Never act like you aren't ever again."

"You can't keep her forever, if she chooses to leave you, you're going to have to accept that. He wouldn't be like his brothers. Women were not property, especially not ones that equaled his power."

"Touch her again, and I'll remove that hand."

"Damn Persephone! That girl is PISSED," Ariadne whistled. "Respect." ( )
