Cross has been a character that has had my interest since the early days. He just always seemed like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders and intense, which while reading was right on the mark. Cross’ past has defined his present, yet at the same time he doesn’t want to be like those who came before them. This book has a lot of twists in it that answered some things, kept me intrigued, and left me with other questions. I love the bond the Kings have even if they do fight with each other on occasion, but the family they have created for themselves really gives the books heart. Cross and Alex have a lot of hurdles to overcome, but will Alexa still stand by his side when its all said and done or is his life too much for her to handle? While I enjoyed this story, I’m still not a huge fan of Jasmine’s and my fingers are crossed that Derek is the man for her because I’m not really feeling her and Bones like some have suggested. Overall, a good read and like I said some questions are answered while others arise, so I can’t wait to see what’s next for the guys. ( )
