![]() No current Talk conversations about this book. After serving 4 years in prison, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her 4 year old daughter who is living with the grandparents. (She was in a wreck and killed the Dad, her boyfriend.). Ledger Ward has hated her for years for killing his best friend but now he falls in love with her. As the romance grows, so does the risk. How does she make amends for the past and have a future with her daughter and Ledger? Didn’t get 5 stars because of the drinking/driving issue in the story. Personal trauma for me. Outside of the above, this story pulls at every heart string. Well told. Read it in one sitting. Loved every character except the one you want to dislike and I’m A OK with that. Story isn’t for everyone. Please note that there are some triggers in this book. This book was not for me. I finished it thinking “why did it need to be written”. The main character wasn’t likable. The entire plot just wasn’t reasonable. The love scenes seems so out of place or inappropriate in the context. I liked variety but this is the last book from this author I’ll be picking up. Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover Kenna spent five years in prison after a tragic event, a very bad mistake was made. She returns to the town where it happened in the hopes of reconnecting with her young daughter, who she never met. The local bar owner Ledger befriends her, soon she finds he is connected to her daughter. They have feeling for eachother, but how can they proceed with the past blending in the present? Reminders of Him is a story of unconditional love, family, heartache and redemption. Told with raw emotions pulling (your) heart in every direcetion. Never have I wanted a happy ending as much as I had with this story. Not just a romace, a love story like none I have read. I was feeling so many emotions radiating from each page. Heart-felt, memorable, compelling, so hard to put down. This is probably one of my favorites from Colleen Hoover, I highly recommend to all. no reviews | add a review

After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughter's life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself. The only person who hasn't closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna's daughter. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna's life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them. The two form a connection despite the pressure surrounding them, but as their romance grows, so does the risk. Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistakes of her past in order to build a future out of hope and healing. No library descriptions found. |

This is CoHo #3 for me. I thought it had a good plotline and it brought to light another one of those situations where there's no right or wrong answer and nothing is black & white. But...this one felt a little sappy to me and ultimately, once again, the ending was a little too predictable and wrapped up too neatly. It wasn't a bad read, but not my favorite. (
