In this graphic novel, a group of girls who deliver paper in a quiet suburban neighborhood are accidentally transported to the future. While trying to get back to their time, they have to navigate new technology, meeting their future selves, and evading a time agency who wants to kill them. The characters struggle with how they define themselves, their dreams, and everything else that they know. I really hate zero sum stories. This is probably not that (time travel is confusing), but I really wanted them to remember it. I guess when they go into the future and meet themselves it doesn't support that, so it was already said and done. Overall, the story was really fascinating, the art was freaking beautiful, and the characters were wonderful. The whole time I was reading, I was planning on rereading it as soon as I finished, but then I finished and didn't like the ending so... no reviews | add a review

Wow, I think this supplants Y the Last Man as my new favorite Brian K Vaughan book. The pacing is just masterful. I have some nitpicks about period inappropriate parlance that breaks the immersion of the story, but other than that, this is a fine piece of work that makes for a great to binge read. ( )
