It was often confusing, too many characters and at least 30 minutes too long. I just didn't get the point of the narrative. ( ) Ancient alien superheros can only fight one particular type of monster. 2/4 (Indifferent). The main character has a novel superpower. And Kumail Nanjiani is entertaining, although he disappears before the end of the movie. There's a lot of awkward stuff like that - inexplicable, objectively bad storytelling. It's like every time they revised something in the script (like, presumably, deciding they shouldn't kill off EVERY entertaining character) they just ignored how it effects the rest of the story.
