This was a great book to expand our usual vocabulary with words like "Mr. Furnival," "molten," "furnace," and "trolley." For a story set mostly in an iron foundry, it portrays surprisingly heart-warming moments, and two compelling themes. It took a couple of reads to get Daniel into it, but was well worth the effort!
