Giles Andreae’s book Heaven Is Having You, is a sweet book about the bond of grandparents and their grandchildren. The little bear asks his grandparents what heaven is, and they reply with all of the things that they do with him. In their eyes, heaven is having this grandchild to love.
This is a darling book. It just makes one smile at the end. It is relatable to almost all children. The bright illustrations make is a fun, quick read.
In the classroom, I would have this book avaiable for the students to access. It would be a great book for them to learn how to use a book. I would also like to use it on a project for grandparent's day where the students would write or draw (depending on the age) the things that they love about their grandparents. ( )
