Review/Critique:
Katie is finally allowed to get a pony, but she is learning that it is a process to find the perfect one. After her and her mom tried a few different ponies, she came upon one that didn't meet any of her standards. Her mom encouraged her to work with it for a little bit; after she did, Katie realized she had found the perfect pony!

This is a good fantasy fiction book because it deals with an animal most children are familiar with and excited about. The characters are easy for young children to relate to and a good message is shared.

Again another book that my daughter picked out at the library. I definitely think that this one is geared more towards girls. A young girl with her Mom visits a few horse farms before she finds the perfect pony. She dreams of what her perfect pony would look like but in the end her perfect pony is not what her pony looks like but the character of her pony.
