collected mini-episodes of an alternate spider-verse where Gwen Stacy (drummer for "the Mary Janes" and daughter of Police Captain Stacy) is bitten by a spider, gets blamed for the death of her friend Peter Parker (who had turned himself into a giant lizard in order to gain superpowers like hers) death, and meets Captain America (a kickass woman of color).

the characters are kick-ass, but I didn't particularly enjoy reading this montage of action scenes punctuated by near-meaningless dialogues. (
