A slick, bloated Marvel sequel that does a disservice to the original. It has all the hallmarks of an episode in a planned franchise, sucking the life out of the earlier movie, accomplishing very little other than setting the scene for another. The only positive thing we could say about it was that the costumes were terrific. ( )

A film starring Letitia Wright (Disney, 2022).

A princess protects her kingdom from merfolk.

D (Bad).

This movie is so joyless it makes Eternals look entertaining.

2023 movie #41. It may have been the 4th highest grossing movie in the US in 2022 but I'm afraid this movie is boring beyond belief. Wakanda and Namor the Submariner go to war over vibranium. I don't know how it ended as I just couldn't watch any more. ( )
