Edward Adrian Wilson is prehaps the most famous native son of Cheltenham. In the early years of the 20th century, he was one of the major influences and personalities of the heroic age of Antartic exploration, and was also a recognized ornithologist and naturalist, as well as a scientific expedition artist. This biography of him draws on the work of his father, his published diaries and the three volumes on his life published by George Seaver in the 1930s and 40s. No library descriptions found. |
