I thought this book was just ok. Jack Henry sees a snake and is afraid to tell anyone in fear of being called a scaredy cat. He tends to his cousin who sleep walks over the hay loft and when his grandpa comes to check on what is going on he blurts out that he saw a snake. Later, he has a confrontation with the snake, and the story ends with his saying"dance, yall." The phrase everyone said earlier that day when they were joyful. ( )
