It was like a travel log to show kids how to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. There is nothing wrong with that, and if one was going to be visiting that location, this would be a great book. The story sends the kids on a quest to find this magic music, that turns out is just everyone singing together. Otherwise, the story is lacking, and a bit boring. ( ) no reviews | add a review
Scout Moore, the ever-adventurous ranger of her own backyard, takes on Great Smoky Mountains National Park in her latest outdoor adventure. Scout and her family go on an epic quest for the "sacred harp" in one of America's greatest parks. Along the way, they spot giant elk and slithery salamanders, befriend a local girl by the name of Jolene, hike the trails, and go for a dip in a swimming hole. In the end, they discover that the "sacred harp" is something that can only be found within and is best when shared with others. Join the adventure to find out more. No library descriptions found. |
