Weer een goed boek door M.J. Arlidge. Spannend en af en toe wat verwarrend door de vele personages. Ik heb er maar een lijst van gemaakt. Het verhaal gaat over 6 mensen die na het uitzitten van hun straf voor moord een nieuwe naam krijgen, een nieuwe achtergrond en een nieuwe woonplaats. Dan wordt een van hen vermoord en dat blijkt te zijn gebeurd door de familie van een slachtoffer.
Chandra Dubral is inspecteur bij de politie en krijgt opdracht om de moord te onderzoeken en uit te zoeken wie de familie op de hoogt heeft gebracht van de nieuwe identiteit van de moordenaar van hun moeder.
Ondertussen moet Olivia Campbell de jonge Jack Walker te begeleiden in zijn nieuw geschapen leven. Dan volgen worden er meer mensen gedood door de familie van hun eerdere slachtoffers en wordt zelfs de hoogste top van de regering erbij betrokken.
