However, he ends of each verse of the rhyme in odd ways, without finishing the meter. This makes for clunky reading aloud, as the sing-sing rhythm repeatedly ends abruptly and then restarts. Summary: This is an adorable little book about three kittens who lost their mittens and then find them. The mama asks them to find their mittens and then wash them. In the end, they eat pie. Opinion: There is a lot of rhyming and repetition in the book which I think is fun for kids. The kids I read it to thought it was cute too. I’d be curious to read more versions of this book. This is such a great book to read aloud to kids in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and first grade. This book is about three little kittens who get into problems. Even when the three little kittens get in trouble, the mom cat still loves them. The illustrations bring to life the story and the expressions are very clear. An activity in the classroom could involve the students writing a short essay about a problem they got into and how their parent or guardian helped them. no reviews | add a review
