There are changes to animal behavior, scenery and activity options. The book has colorful pictures to be associated with each season. It gives examples of things to do during each season, such as digging and planting in a garden in the spring, visiting a beach during the summer, picking pumpkins in fall, and sledding in the winter. The book takes you on a journey through the year and gives the reader an educated outlook on our very different seasons. This book is okay at best. It goes through each seasons and talks about things that kids do in each season. The words are written in free verse rhyme, but have an awkward sound when read aloud. There are a lot of alliterations in the book just to have them there because they don't make sense. The pictures are good, but I am not a fan of the text. This is a great book that describes what happens to the environment when the season changes, and what activities we engage in during different seasons. Also, the illustrations are beautiful photographs taken during each season. This book makes you fall in love with every season, and would be a great addition to a lesson on the different seasons we experience. And I just love how the seasons in the book almost go in a circle just like the seasons we experience! EVERY SEASON teaches students about the seasons and things that happen during the seasons. The author uses very imaginative language. (The word spread is actually s p r e a d out on the page.) The author does a great job of keeping the text short and simple so beginning readers will have an easier time reading the story. The author also does a great job of matching the real photographs to the text on the page helping students get a real idea for what each season looks and feels like. This book would be great to use in class for a unit on seasons. In kindergarten, we talk about the seasons throughout the year. This book would be great to read whenever we reach a new season. One thing that could make the book better would be an afterward of additional information for students to learn more about seasons. The information within the text is interesting, but it is very limited. The students only learn the very basic information about each season. It would be useful if the author includes some additional research for students who want to learn more. no reviews | add a review
