Good quick-and-condensed alternative to Robert's rules of order... great if you have some sort of formal organization, need to choose a 'formal' and 'fair' system of meeting governance but don't want to go deep into the minutiae of hardcore parliamentary procedure.

That having been said, though, this is still a formal system and is best-suited for things like home-owner-association meetings or city councils or other broad 'general participation' groups that require a formal means of participation because the interests and personality types are too different to keep things informal.

Instead, if you have, say, a book club or weekly poker night and are having a tough time getting everyone to communicate well, have smooth discussions and/or you have that 'one guy' that's making things tough, I wouldn't recommend suddenly adopting formal governance rules like this, even if they're streamlined.
