Shalev did a fantastic job in adapting the biblical story of Jacob and Esau to a modern family saga set mostly in Jerusalem. As in The Blue Mountain, characters are markedly drawn and alive and descriptions abound. Shalev is truly a great writer and he has not disappointed me yet. ( ) no reviews | add a review
