A Spider-Man graphic novel, nicely illustrated by Berni Wrightson, that aptly and with some charm and verve shows Spidey's defining characteristic (that intense sense of responsibility) as he helps a 200-plus 12 year-old girl magician, locked into eternal youth by a curse, fight off her "bane". I usually don't go in much for the mystic stuff, but this is well-handled and logical - sort of. ( )
