This book is about a Rhino and his adventures as he tries to find someone to play with. He ends up getting lost and chased but then chases others. Eventually he makes it back to his mother and aunt. This book is a good example of realistic fiction because this adventure does and can happen for animals. This book is not fantasy because it does not have the animals talking. It is a narrative story. ( )

Simu the rhino is a flat and static character. We do not know that much about him except some facts about rhinos and how they act, eat and look like. He does not change throughout the course of the book so he is static. He runs around the savanna and meets different animals and finally makes it back home to his mother. This book is most informational. The only fantasy part of the book is that the animals have names, but they do not talk or do anything else fanciful. It is an informational book because it gives many facts about rhinos and other African animals.
