This book is about a boy who wonders what his new puppies life was like before the boy and his family adopted him

"Before You Were Mine," is about a boy that asks his dog questions as to who his previous owners were and what would he do before coming into his family. He discusses the different activities that could have occurred before they found him in the shelter. He talks about his pervious dog and how he passed away and how that made him sad. But he said that even though those things happened, the most important part is that they have each other.

A fresh perspective and a good one for kids who may not realize how good they and their pets have it. That not all homes are as loving or accommodating and sometimes pets loose their home and their people for any number of reasons. ( )
