This book is a story-driven biography of Marie Curie the co-discoverer of radium, first female to receive a doctoral degree in physics and win a Nobel Prize. This book understates the prejudice she faced as a woman in her time.

Marie wants to become a scientist badly. Many people say that there cannot be a girl scientist. After Marie gets a good grade, she is free to do anything. She becomes a scientist! This book tells a lot about Marie and her sister. I recommend this book to kids who like learning about people in the past. ( )
