In Honey, I Love. A young girl talks about all the things she loves in life; from people that are important to her, to simple everyday things that many people overlook. She also talks about all the fun things she likes to do, like playing her school piano. This book is a collection of all of the exciting, free, and fun aspects of a child’s life. The bright colors express her bright personality and big smile but there’s just one thing she doesn’t like and that would be going to sleep at night. It's one big long sentence because the period doesn't come until the very end its like you're talking to a young girl going on and on. This book can be used to guide students into a writing lesson about the things they love and appreciate. ( )

A rich beautifully illustrated little volume with poems oriented toward children but also moving for adults. I can't wait to share her other books for children with our son. ( )

This book talks about the very different things this little girls love. She goes through her day and talks about the people and activities she loves. She seems so grateful for everything she encounters good or bad. She mentions something she doesn't love but says that it's okay because she loves a lot of things. This book would be good during a lesson on love or gratitude. A teacher could read this book and then ask the students to do an assignment over things that they love. ( )
