Slesser writes a detailed and intelligent account of the expedition. There is a full description first hand of the climbs, and of course the tragic deaths of Robin Smith and Wilf Noyce. This is one of the early 'dirty laundry' expedition books, and must have ruffled a few feathers when first published. ( )
