This is a collection of eleven short stories written by Ruth Rendell. Most of these were were written for the Ellery Queen mystery magazine in the 1970's. Some were mystery, some were supernatural, many were laced with wit and dark humor. I thought these stories were sort of like something you might see on The Twilight Zone.
I'm not a big fan of short story collections and I didn't realize that's what this was when I picked this one out. But, since these were a bit of a novelty and classic in nature, I did find them interesting. Over all a C+ ( )

I saw my first episode of The Ruth Rendell Mysteries, based on the title story of this collection. It was pretty disturbing for something on PBS. Which means I can't wait to dive in...
