sequel to The Space Merchants. Some 50-60 years in the future. Filled with casual sex[not graphic or anything] and the problems of commercialism. Ending was lame in my opinion. ( )

What a great book! Clear, concise, and oh-so-unsympathetic to the advertising culture of now! What's fiction about this besides the space travel? The thinly veiled sarcasm of the author's tone, the true-to-life travails of our main character as he hits his downfall, and the brilliant and biting cynicism all combine to make this a quickly readable book. Best read with prequel but not impossible to understand. ( )

Good old Pohl satire and quite the cliff-hanger. Don't expect much on the personality of the characters - the plotting is the vehicle. ( )

A visionary and engaging imagining of the future of consumer culture that has only grown more accurate since it was written. It reads like Forest Gump meets Idiocracy, except better. ( )
