This book sees and family that is split and how a small child is dealing with it. A bit more heavy of a topic but a good one still. I liked that this story showed that "broken families" aren't always bad families, many children now a days can identify with that. Being a more difficult subject matter I would use it for grades 1-3. This is a very nice book for children whose parents are divorced. Children will identify with the child who spends a great day with Dad, only to have Dad leave him with Mom. Without the last page, this really could be a book about any weekend spent with any dad. A special book to share with your child ( )
