She has to attain a new routine and portrays her self different because of how her family acts during certain situations. I thought this book was decent. It shows the point of view of a child having to deal with diabetes but doesn't quite understand in the beginning why she was physically ill until she goes to the doctor. She has to deal with her parents fighting and her sister viewing her as the favorite because they spends more time with her than her sister. The little girl views herself as special and at the end states "you're a regular kid" stating that no one would understand her struggles. I loved the idea of the book but it didn't keep my attention.
