( ) If you have ever been in a relationship & that person is leaving said realtionship--then just breathe; your world will turn upside down.. You are now walking around on auto-pilot, your mind is set on repeat and it won't turn off as it endlessly spins scenarios and questions. You are catatonically stunned by disbelief because he is out the door, gone. How Mr Wonderful left the scene or pretended not to really leave, he left & life will suck. Read this book and gift it to your friends. Suzanne Finnamore’s wit is again laugh out loud and factual. I loved her book "Otherwise Engaged"; which I clearly recall even ten years later—I felt invested in this relationship and I'm truly surprised and a bit sad to read the turn of events in "Split". Soldier on, this is a must read for anyone who has had a relationship break-up or divorce. no reviews | add a review
?Not only funny, it's also fully triumphant...a heartbreaking pleasure to read.'(Elle) Suzanne Finnamore didn't see it coming. Well, she saw some things'for example, a cocktail napkin on which her husband had scribbled a Cole Porter love song and an indecipherable name'but she refused to acknowledge it. She was busy tending to their son and creating the perfect home. Until the night it all imploded. ?I deserve happiness,? he said, which apparently translated into ousting her from his life. At once funny, sad, and unflinchingly fierce, this memoir will resonate with anyone who has endured the end of a relationship'and come out on the other side changed. No library descriptions found. |
