Includes the novella [b:Father Mine|5153799|Father Mine (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #6.5)|J.R. Ward|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1533627559s/5153799.jpg|5220803] which I read Jan. 16th, 2015. That one I originally gave 4 stars to. I liked it.

Mostly this is just a companion type book to give you a little more behind the scenes to the BDB.

I originally downloaded it to find info that a friend of mine said was in here. I got so bored I kept skipping. I'm not good with these types of books. And, I never found what my friend was talking about ( )

I would have bought this if only to read the awesome extra scenes with the wedding of Cormia and Phury (so romantic and tender!) and also the epilogue to their story five years later where they are babysitting Nalla for Z and Bella, and we see our first look at their son Aggie. It also includes a short about Z and Bella and Nalla from her first few months, although that can be purchased separately. ( )

This review is just for the short story, Father Mine, as I did not read the whole thing. JR Ward is one of my favorite authors. Over the last couple of years, I've discovered that I prefer character driven stories and I think JR Ward is one of the best in that aspect. Her characters are beautifully written and have so much depth that I just get sucked into the story. Zsadist has always been my favorite and reading his struggles concerning Nalla and Bella was heartbreaking. It was so uplifting to finish it and realize he will eventually be OK. If you had no intentions of getting this guide, get it just to read Father Mine. ( )

Quotations
I do not have Internet access on either computer I write on, and I strongly urge folks, if they can afford the luxury, to draw that line and keep Web and e-mail distraction far, far, far away from their writing machines. See, for me, the writing uses a very specific part of my brain. If I stop working to deal with other issues, it can be a struggle to get back to the zone I was in before I put on my business head.
