Whilst I enjoyed "Looking for JJ" by the same author, this one never had the same appeal for me. The plot was dull and the characters flat, and I didn't think the parallel kidnappings worked. The movement from the present to the past, with the use of flashbacks, wasn't smooth enough in my opinion. Sometimes the flashbacks were far too long. Lacking action and suspense, this was a disappointing read. ( )
