Overall very good -- there are a few places I wish there was more detail. ( )

Nancy Bubel's book is very helpful and very practical. The information she provides is accurate and she's always concerned to save money and achieve the best balance between economy and efficiency. It's not one of those books where the author tells you the One Best Way to do things, which turns out to require vast amounts of money and space. This will help you to success with a minimum of fuss, bother, or shopping. ( )

Terrific book. I had been gardening for decades but was reluctant to try growing my own plants. With the help of this book I've been starting my own seeds with confidence for the last few years. ( )

This is rapidly becoming my go-to gardening book. ( )

This book is probably the best general resource for starting, saving and propagating seed I have read to date. If you are looking for a general overview of seed starting -- be it vegetables, herbs, shrubs or trees -- this book covers it. The author offers personal experience intertwined with charts, facts and figures. More than enough to put you on the road to starting or saving seeds. ( )
