I enjoyed Edward the Emu but I love Edwina the Emu! The rhyming was fun and the illustrations were gorgeous. It was a sweet little story. ( )

A follow-up to Edward the Emu, this book has the same captivating rhyme and rhythm patterns, but the story line is a bit more forced. Still, a great book to read aloud to young ones. ( )

Somehow I like Edward better, mostly because of the Emu-doing-other-animals impressions. Emu as lion sleeping in a tree, for instance, is hilarious. This one is good, in a similar way, for trying to figure out what job you want to do. ( )

Edwina the Emu is a sequel to Edward the Emu. Sheena Knowles uses the ending of Edward the Emu to preface what will happen in Edwina the Emu. The author uses humor as Edwina the Emu looks for a job to support her family. Edwina tries many different styles of jobs until she comes to the realization that sitting on her eggs is the job for her. ( )
