I firmly believe that the subject of women in ministry and the roles that women may or may not play is one that has to be decided by the Bible. Far too often we have allowed ourselves to reinterpret the Scriptures so that they fit our own cultural proclivities.

I have read Kari Malcolm’s book, but I will admit that I found it unconvincing. Although she writes well, Malcolm fails to demonstrate how hers is the Biblical position.

Book description
Woman today stand at the crossroads. One well-worn path takes them along the route of tradition; another newer but more treacherous path takes them to secular feminism. For Christians there is a third way. The author describes this new path as she carefully considers what the Bible says, showing that the focus of attention for Christian women should be Jesus Christ.
