In the car, going to grandma's! What does the car do on the way? This board book features wonderful collage illustrations in bright colors, which animate the short observations in the text (e.g., "Stop! The traffic light is red!", "Wheeeee, down the hill."). The pages have fun designs that toddlers will love to grab onto and poke their fingers through. Plenty of opportunity to practice making mouth noises with your toddlers. Good for reading at home or in a story time for early learners. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0763634824, Board book)

Hop in! The bold illustrations and playful sound words in these two board books with die-cut pages will beckon to preschoolers who love things that go.

When a family piles into a bright yellow car to drive to Grandma’s house, they go BROOM, BROOM through the town; VROOM, VROOM along the highway; and CHUG, CHUG over the crosswalk. Getting there is almost as exciting as the welcome that awaits at the end. BEEP, BEEP!
