This is a story about a turtle who becomes scared when an apple falls onto his head, so he hides inside his shell. As he is inside his shell, he continues on towards the pond, but he can't see and begins bumping into things. The story is cute and funny as the turtle soon realizes that there are times to be inside the shell and other times it's okay to be outside.

Cute story to read to young elementary students about fears and what to do when we are afraid. It's a book that helps students understand that it is okay to be scared, but we must come out and learn to be strong. ( )
