This is a fairly typical example of the long-running series with some of the better articles being those dealing with Japanese fast minelayers, the carrier “Hosho,” Italian MTBs of the Great War and Soviet destroyers. I’ll admit that I was somewhat annoyed with an essay on the service of Adm. Graf Spee’s Far East Squadron as that had a throw-away quality to it; I expect better from this publication. ( )
