A cute book about two hens who don't like each other and compete on who is better and can make the best eggs. They never got along, but when something goes wrong they lose all but one egg. The hens then have to work together to care for the egg despite not liking each other. When they finally defeat the catalyst in the book, they find they are both very brave and have much to appreciate with each other. The pictures are of neutral tones to fit this farm scene, and they help tell the the story on a stand alone. But, there are a fair amount of words on each page, so this is ultimately a great story time book for a parent or teacher. The kids will enjoy the simple pictures, so they can stay focused on the words being read. no reviews | add a review
