It's a good book for children to understand caring for another person/animal/thing.

Emma finds a lamb and soon takes over taking care of her while her father looks for it's mother. The father finds the mother and Emma needs to return the lamb back to it's mother, but she has become attached and doesn't want to. In the end Emma realizes that the lamb is better off with it's mother.

this book is about a girl named Emma and her dad who find a lamb. Emma starts to build a relationship with the lamb and wants to keep him but then she realizes the right thing to do would be to let him go so he can be with his mom.
