Investigating Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, journalist Carl Streator finds the same anthology of poems and rhymes at each child's bedside. The book is always opened to a specific African chant--a culling song that kills when recited, whether silently or aloud. Suddenly, Carl's knowledge of the chant makes him an involuntary serial murderer and he must learn to control himself, then remove all copies of the book from libraries across the country.… (more)

Libro abbastanza diverso da quelli che ho letto finora (Soffocare - Gang Bang - Cavie - Invisible Monsters). Innanzitutto per i contenuti. Niente pratiche sessuali atipiche, niente contenuti spinti all'inverosimile.

Unlike Choke, which was just Fight Club rehashed, Lullaby is an original novel, and a novel theme for Chuck. There are definitely parts that needed a editing (and I detest italics) but the book had a unique premise and engaging storyline. ( )

Bleak and readable story about what could happen if people were able to kill at will. ( )
