This was a 'three novels of romantic suspense in one volume' book. Each story dealt with one of the Mahoney sisters and each story had mystery and suspense flowing through it. I found it hard to decide who was the bad guy and who you could trust until the very end of a couple of these stories.

In 'Reasonable Doubt' you have Keri Mahoney, who has become a police officer. After 15 years of not seeing each other, Justin Kramer, her childhood sweetheart, comes back into her life. He is looking at facing charges for his wife's murder. Can Keri trust his innocence and keep her heart from falling in love all over again. And who did kill his wife? That is the question I couldn't answer until almost the end of the book.

In 'Suspicion of Guilt' we have Denni Mahoney who runs a home for troubled girls. Detective Reece Corrigan is trying to figure out who is trying to destroy this work, keep Denni safe, and try to get her to see that it could possibly be one of her girls who is out to do her in. Trying to figure out the culprit had me guessing until the very end.

In 'Betrayal of Trust', you find Raven Mahoney as a successful TV journalist, who has discovered something about her past that is very troubling. She also has to deal with Matthew Strong, a man in politics who has dropped out of the race and Raven wants to know why. The problem is, she will have to get close to him again, and when she walked away from his marriage proposal years ago, she never planned to come in contact with him again. Can she guard her heart, find out what is going on, and help keep Matthew and his little girl safe. This also was a good mystery.

All three stories can be read as a stand alone, but they all inter-relate because the main characters are sisters. I liked the romance behind each of the these stories and the mystery that kept me guessing. Good job Tracey Bateman!! ( )

First words
Justin Kramer knew two things for certain.
One, he hadn't murdered his wife.
Two, the detectives weren't buying it.
The four-month-old memory of Amelia's body lying facedown on the blue living-room carpet was etched in as a horrifying image in his mind. An image Justin knew he wouldn't shake for the rest of his life---which, if the cops had their way, would be spent up the river, without the possibility of parole.
