DI Mariner has an early start on the raid called Operation Ocean Blue. But his day is about to get worse when he is called in to investigate a baby abduction - six-week-old baby Jessica is taken from a local nursery.
Although the book can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading them in order.
Another enjoyable read from this series with its interesting story and well-developed characters. ( )

Emma returns to pick up her seven-week old baby from nursery to discover that she has been collected already, by a woman claiming to be the mother. I found this plot line gripping, although it peters out after a while and the focus turns to other crimes. While they are tied together at the end, the overall effect was to make the novel rather bitty. The way everything was explained seemed rather unlikely, but perhaps possible.

I'm glad Tom and Anna are over.
