![]() No current Talk conversations about this book. ![]() ![]() Short poems written in a variety of poetic styles depicting the seasons of a pond and the lives of plants and animals which inhabit it. On-page, non-fiction, interesting facts expand upon each topic of the poem. Beautifully illustrated. Recommend for classes studying wetlands and pond life as a supporting text. This is a really cute book about different types of animals and creatures that live in a pond. Some of the poems are concrete throughout this book, but not all of them are. On each page, the creature that the poem is about is described. I enjoyed the factual information that was present in this book because it can be used in order to guide a science lesson. I also learned about different kinds of creatures by reading this book of poems. I think it is important to use factual poetry as well as fictional poetry in the classroom. no reviews | add a review
