Small, concise, pedestrian.

This is a miniature work comprising six pop-ups (across 12 pages). Each pop-up is an illustration by Julie Scott. The individual pop-ups are coupled with quotes about angels from Karen Goldman, St. Augustine, Lori Jean Flory, G.K. Chesterton, St. Francis de Sales, B. Herder Houck, Timothy Jones, Emanuel Swedenborg, and Alphonse de Lamartine.

The engineering is simple and sturdy. The individual scenarios consist of angels over a farm at sunrise, angels carrying stars, angels playing music, a guardian angel walking a dog, an angel whispering in a man's ear, and an angel hovering between an elderly man and woman. (
