This was a listening from an audio book while driving on vacation with the family. We all enjoyed listening to this book, which is read by the author and his daughter. The story ends on a cliffhanger, as this is part 1, after-all. ( )

I loved imagining what things must have been like for the Nephites just prior to the coming of Christ to the Americas. There were fun things like the speculation on what "cureloms" are and more touching things like the relationship of Jim with his children. ( )
