Kit feels that Mrs. Howard does not approve of anything she does- especially her baseball playing, but when Kit gets hut playing baseball, Mrs. Howard is there for her. She finds Mrs. Howard a job at the hospital so that Mrs. Howard is finally able to make a contribution and, with something useful to do, will finally stop nagging Kit. ( )
