This book started off well and I was really enjoying it, but I found all the ties with the main characters unrealistic and very cliche. ( )

The plot was too obviously worked. ( )

I listened to this as an Audio Book and really enjoyed it. This is my 2nd audio book written by Kimberley Freeman [wildflower] being my first experience (not sure what else she has written). I liked it. The story is about a pop star from England and an aspiring opera wannabe in Germany who have an uncanny likeness to each other. Penelope Bright wants to disappear, strung out on prescription drugs, her agent sends her on holiday to Spain and employs Ellie Frankel to fill in at rehearsels for Penelope, changing her hair and wardrobe to make it a more believeable Penelope Bright. Ellie does it so well, that when the real Penelope Bright runs off leaving just a note to her agent George that she doesn't want to do it anymore (The tour- all the sponsors have invested money into) George convinces Ellie to stay on. The story was very well developed and I didn't see the ending until it was written on the page! Truely a story of greed, secrets and lies. Made for an interesting story and would highly recommend it.
