This is a nice little story that follows Royce and Caden first Christmas after they are reunited in When Love Comes Back Around. From the previous book we know that Royce and Caden were highschool sweethearts, but they always hid their love; when Caden's father found out about his son, he managed to force Caden to leave Royce alone. This event was particularly dramatic since Royce had an abusive family and Caden was the only happy memory of his youth. Years later Caden and Royce are again together, and Caden wants this Christmas to be perfect for his lover, to start a Christmas tradition of happy memories.

It's no more than a scene, 20 pages of tender love under the Christmas tree, but it's nice. There are a lot of things that remain hang on, Royce and Caden want to legalize their relationship, but they live in New York and so they probably need to do something, but these are all material things that have no space under a Christmas tree.

So if you read the previous book, this is a nice add, and instead if you haven't, you can buy both and read them together: the sweet and tender atmosphere is common in both book.
