There are big time gaps, and I had to read this for school. But it was fun to read. ( ) I only knew Nescio from his famous work Titaantjes, but apparently he has written several short stories, of which "De uitvreter" is the oldest. Although I wasn't really amazed by the quality of the text, it was amusing to read for as long as it lasted (a mere 46 pages). The outdated language didn't really help, either, but made it possible to imagine myself living in the beginning of the 20th century. no reviews | add a review
